Why would we repost an article that seems to suggest that all office ergonomics is a load of bollocks ? Well we think this article in the Sydney Morning Herald makes some important points.
Most important one is that many of the tools you can buy to make your office more ergonomic are only of any use if they facilitate movement in the office.
Consider the mouse braces designed to hold your wrist in a static position. They are sold as a support device. Or chairs that support your back and hold you static ?
We don't sell any of these because it's movement that will help you NOT devices that make you more static.
So if you are considering a Riser or stand sit desk because you think you are going to go from sitting to standing all day - don't waste your money. If you are doing it as an enabler to get you up and about and moving more in your workday - it will definitely help you achieve that.
It's a tool - no more and no less. It's what you do with it that counts ?
Read the article - come to your own conclusions ?
